In recent years, the University's scientific journals have achieved significant progress. In particular, at the beginning of 2025, after only three years of establishment, the Journal of Science and Transport Technology (JSTT – ISSN 2734-9950) was officially indexed into the Scopus database, becoming one of the few scientific journals in Vietnam managed and published directly by a higher education institution to receive international recognition. Just one year after joining Scopus, JSTT was further upgraded to Q3 in the SCImago Journal Rank (SJR) system, affirming its academic quality and growing influence within the international scientific research community.

Building on these achievements, on 28 April 2026, the Ministry of Science and Technology issued Decision No. 2244/QĐ-BKHCN approving the List of Vietnamese Scientific Standard Journals for 2026. According to the published list, the University of Transport Technology had two journals recognized, namely the Journal of Science and Transport Technology (JSTT) in the group of internationally indexed journals and the Electronic Journal of Transport Science and Technology in the group of domestic journals meeting Vietnamese scientific standards. This recognition represents an important acknowledgment of the University's efforts in developing a professional, transparent, and internationally integrated environment for scientific research, publication, and academic publishing.

Speaking at the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thai Binh – Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Transport Science and Technology, expressed his sincere gratitude for the attention, guidance, and support provided by the Party Committee and the University's Board of Rectors to the Journal's activities over the years. He also affirmed the Journal's commitment to continuing to uphold its sense of responsibility, improve the quality of editing, peer review, and publishing, and gradually enhance the standing of UTT's scientific journals within both the national and international scientific publishing systems.
