UTT Awards Master's Degrees in Railway Studies, Contributing to Human Resource Development for National Key Projects
On the afternoon of 05 June 2026, the University of Transport Technology (UTT) held the 2026 Phase 1 Master's Degree Conferment Ceremony for 45 postgraduate students majoring in Railway Construction Engineering Technology and Transport Organization and Management. This achievement is a concrete outcome of the training cooperation program between the University of Transport Technology and the Vietnam Railways Corporation.
Through the collaboration among the educational institution, regulatory agencies, and enterprises, the program has closely integrated education and research with practical demands, contributing to the realization of the objective of developing railway human resources in line with the policies of the Party and the State, as well as the development requirements of the sector in the new era.
Attending the ceremony were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Long – Secretary of the Party Committee and Rector of the University; Dr. Duong Hong Anh – Deputy Director General of the Vietnam Railway Authority; Dr. Cam Anh Tuan – Deputy General Director of the Vietnam Railways Corporation; Dr. Truong Trong Vuong – Secretary of the Party Committee and Rector of the Railway College; Prof. Dr. Tu Sy Sua; together with representatives from professional units, lecturers, postgraduate students, and families of the new master's degree recipients.
Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Long congratulated the graduates on successfully completing their training programs and affirmed that high-quality human resources are a key factor in meeting the development needs of the transport sector in general and the railway industry in particular during the new development stage. The Rector expressed his expectation that the new master's degree holders would continue to apply their knowledge, research capabilities, and practical experience to contribute to the advancement of the railway sector.

Within the framework of the program, the University announced the Decisions on Graduation and Commendation for master's graduates in Railway Construction Engineering Technology and Transport Organization and Management, and presented certificates of merit to 11 postgraduate students for their outstanding achievements in academic performance and scientific research.
On this occasion, the University of Transport Technology and the Vietnam Railways Corporation also recognized and rewarded outstanding students of the program, acknowledging their dedication, serious learning attitude, and remarkable accomplishments throughout the training process.

According to the Human Resource Development Scheme for Railway Development, approved by the Prime Minister under Decision No. 2230/QĐ-TTg, Vietnam is expected to train approximately 35,000 personnel during the 2025–2030 period to serve new railway projects, including the North–South high-speed railway, the Lao Cai – Hanoi – Hai Phong railway line, and urban railway systems in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
The new master's degree recipients graduating in this cohort from the University of Transport Technology represent a highly qualified workforce systematically trained in railway construction engineering technology, transport organization, and transport management. They are expected to become an important human resource pool, strengthening the ranks of technical staff, experts, and managers within the railway sector to meet the demands of developing a modern railway system, progressively mastering advanced technologies, and participating in the implementation of the country's large-scale transport infrastructure projects.
