UTT Surveys Internship Conditions for the 2026 Summer Experiential Internship Program at Korean FDI Enterprises

UTT Surveys Internship Conditions for the 2026 Summer Experiential Internship Program at Korean FDI Enterprises

Dear Parents and UTT Students,

"The survey aimed to conduct a rigorous assessment to ensure that the internship environment meets the highest standards of safety, living conditions, and welfare before officially sending students to participate in the program. The survey results indicate that this is an excellent opportunity for students to develop professional skills, gain practical experience, and earn an attractive income."

To make the best preparations for the 2026 Summer Experiential Enterprise Internship Program, on 15 June 2026, a survey delegation comprising University leaders and specialized lecturers conducted a field visit to directly assess and evaluate the working, accommodation, and living conditions at three major Korean FDI manufacturing plants and a centralized dormitory complex in Que Vo Industrial Park, Bac Ninh Province. These enterprises are leading manufacturers specializing in the production and assembly of supporting technology components for Samsung Group's technology products.

1. INTERNATIONAL-STANDARD WORKING ENVIRONMENT – ABSOLUTE SAFETY

Through surveys conducted at three major factories, namely KH VATEC Co., Ltd. (VINA CNS), H&S TECH Co., Ltd., and ALMUS TECH Co., Ltd., the delegation noted that the facilities are modern, clean, and well maintained. The high-tech component assembly workshops are equipped with advanced automatic and semi-automatic production lines and machinery operating efficiently and smoothly.

  • Occupational Safety: The production processes are rigorously inspected and comply with international standards for occupational safety and environmental hygiene, making them fully suitable for multidisciplinary internship programs.
  • Ease of Adaptation: Students do not need to worry about the complexity of the work, as the production lines have been optimized. Students are expected to become familiar with the equipment and perform tasks proficiently after only 15 to 30 minutes of training provided by the management team.

2. REST, RECUPERATION, AND COMPREHENSIVE FACILITIES

Understanding the concerns of parents and students when entering an industrial working environment for the first time, the University carefully assessed the logistics and healthcare support systems:

  • Scientifically Scheduled Breaks: After every two hours of experiential internship activities (work) in the factory, students will have a 10–30-minute break for refreshments and light snacks to restore energy and maintain alertness. A full one-hour lunch break is also provided.
  • Separate Dining Facilities: The spacious and enclosed canteen system meets food hygiene and safety standards. Menus vary by meal and offer three to five nutritious options daily for students to choose from. Notably, the enterprises have agreed to provide additional food portions (rice and soup) for male students or those with larger appetites.
  • 24/7 On-site Healthcare Services: The medical room is fully equipped with first-aid facilities to address common health issues such as fatigue and headaches. The FDI enterprises also have established emergency support mechanisms and are prepared to arrange transportation to provincial hospitals for students with underlying medical conditions if necessary.
  • Sanitary Facilities: Enclosed restroom facilities are regularly disinfected and conveniently located adjacent to the production workshops.
  • Clean and sterilized stainless-steel meal trays, dining areas that ensure disease prevention and the highest standards of food hygiene and safety, and nutritious meals designed to support students' health

3. SECURE AND COMFORTABLE DORMITORY ACCOMMODATION

Students' accommodation is arranged in an enclosed dormitory building located on Son Dong Street, Nam Son Ward, Bac Ninh Province, offering superior living standards:

  • Comprehensive Facilities: Each spacious room is furnished with four bunk beds (accommodating 6–8 students per room) and equipped with hot and cold water systems, electric fans, air conditioners, and high-speed Wi-Fi. Shared spaces and washing machines are also available on each floor to meet students' personal laundry needs.
  • Strict Security and Order: The dormitory provides clearly separated accommodation areas for male and female students on different floors. An integrated surveillance camera system and dormitory management staff are on duty 24 hours a day, strictly controlling access and prohibiting alcohol consumption and gambling. Parents can be fully assured of a healthy living environment for their children.
  • Safe Transportation: The dormitory is approximately 1.7 kilometers from the factories. The enterprises provide 47-seat buses for collective transportation. At 7:30 a.m., buses pick up students at the Community Cultural House adjacent to the dormitory and transport them to the factories, returning them safely after work.

4. MULTIFUNCTIONAL EXTRACURRICULAR AND SPORTS FACILITIES FOR SOFT SKILL DEVELOPMENT

In addition to work experience, students' mental well-being and social skills are given special attention through the use of a community cultural complex located adjacent to the dormitory:

  • Indoor Hall: Accommodating 200–250 students, the hall is fully equipped with lighting and air-conditioning systems, making it suitable for extracurricular activities, cultural exchanges, competitions, study sessions, and group discussions.
  • Outdoor Sports Area: The large outdoor space includes two to three volleyball courts, badminton courts, and fitness areas, helping students relieve stress and improve physical health after working hours.

The spacious hall, equipped with modern facilities, is ideal for organizing extracurricular activities, cultural performances, competitions, learning activities, and group discussions, enabling UTT students to enhance their experiential learning and team-building skills.
