UTT Students Win Multiple Awards at the 36th National Mechanics Olympiad

On the morning of 7 June, the Closing and Award Ceremony of the 36th National Mechanics Olympiad 2026 was held at Hanoi University of Civil Engineering. The competition is an annual academic event for engineering students nationwide, contributing to the promotion of learning, scientific research, and the enhancement of students' professional competencies.

The 36th National Mechanics Olympiad was organized simultaneously across the Northern, Central, and Southern regions, attracting 1,562 students from 49 universities and technical academies throughout the country. At this year's competition, the UTT Mechanics Olympiad Team competed in three categories: Engineering Mechanics, Strength of Materials, and Soil Mechanics. These are all fundamental subjects in engineering disciplines, requiring students to possess solid professional knowledge and the ability to flexibly apply theoretical concepts to practical problem-solving.

Participating in the competition, the University of Transport Technology (UTT) team won 14 awards, including 3 Third Prizes and 11 Consolation Prizes. Specifically, students Tran Khanh Duy and Tran Minh Duc received Third Prizes in Strength of Materials, while student Nguyen Tuan Thanh won a Third Prize in Engineering Mechanics.

The 11 Consolation Prizes achieved by the UTT team included: 2 prizes in Strength of Materials, 3 prizes in Engineering Mechanics, and 6 prizes in Soil Mechanics. These achievements reflect the students' serious learning attitude, thorough preparation, and proactive spirit in research and self-improvement prior to the competition.
