University of Transport Technology Holds the Opening Ceremony for the 2026–2027 Academic Year

On the morning of September 5, 2026, in the joyful atmosphere of the nationwide back-to-school day, the University of Transport Technology (UTT) solemnly held its Opening Ceremony for the 2026–2027 academic year at its campuses, connected online to the national joint Opening Ceremony organized by the Ministry of Education and Training.

The 2026–2027 academic year carries the theme "Renewing Mindsets — Strong Transformation — Substantive Results," marking a shift from laying the foundations for innovation to generating genuine innovation in implementing the major undertakings on the development of education and training.

At the University of Transport Technology, the Opening Ceremony was held in a combined in-person and online format at the bridging points in Hanoi, Phu Tho, and Thai Nguyen. Together with students and educational institutions across the country, UTT's staff, lecturers, and students followed the national joint Opening Ceremony, which was held concurrently with the inauguration of inter-level boarding schools in mainland border communes, creating a meaningful event for the entire education sector on the first day of the new academic year.

The new academic year takes place as the entire education sector continues to implement the major undertakings of the Party, centered on Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of education and training, and Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation. These are important orientations aimed at bringing about strong and substantive change in education, science, technology, and digital transformation, contributing to improving the quality of human resources and meeting the country's development requirements in the new period.

At the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Long — Secretary of the Party Committee and Rector of the University — performed the ceremonial drumbeat to open the 2026–2027 academic year, officially beginning a new year filled with the expectations and determination of UTT's faculty and students.

Entering the 2026–2027 academic year, on its 81-year journey of construction and development, the University of Transport Technology continues to uphold its traditions and step up innovation in training, scientific research, digital transformation, and enterprise cooperation, striving to enhance the quality of human resources to meet development requirements in the new period.

Continuing the University's tradition, the Opening Ceremony for the 2026–2027 academic year featured the traditional flag-handover ceremony between generations of UTT students. The flag was solemnly passed by students of previous cohorts to representatives of the new students of Cohort K77, expressing the continuation of pride, the spirit of responsibility, and the aspirations of UTT's youth on their journey of study, self-development, and contribution to building the University.

To recognize and commend new students with outstanding achievements in the 2026 admissions season, the University presented top entrance-exam (valedictorian) scholarships at the ceremony. These scholarships are not only a recognition of academic results but also a source of encouragement for the students to keep striving, developing themselves, and realizing their potential during their years at UTT.

Also on this occasion, representatives of accompanying organizations and enterprises presented scholarships and sponsorships to the University of Transport Technology's Study Encouragement Fund, continuing to join hands with the University in caring for and supporting high-achieving students as well as students in difficult circumstances to rise in their studies.

The Opening Ceremony for the 2026–2027 academic year concluded in an atmosphere of enthusiasm, opening a new academic year with new goals and expectations.
